A negative certificate must be obtained in order to make the company reservation.

As proof of the company's domicile, the Moroccan authorities require the submission of a lease agreement or a provisional domiciliation agreement.

With the registration in the Moroccan commercial register, which takes place at the local sub-directorate of the tax administration or at the regional investment centers, the existence of the company is declared to the tax authorities in Morocco. This will provide the necessary Moroccan tax identification number, which must be indicated on all invoices and documents of the company.

Should you wish to establish a subsidiary or a branch in Morocco, you must bear the following in mind. In Morocco, the subsidiary is an autonomous legal entity, separate from the parent company, with its own legal personality. It can acquire contractual rights & obligations in its own name, which is not possible for a subsidiary without legal autonomy.
