Registration and notification is done at the Italian Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (Ministero del Lavoro e delle Politiche Sociali) and is very complex.

Contact person
A contact person resident in the country must be appointed for the authorities and must be available at all times. Be careful, if no person or a wrong person with authority to represent the company is appointed, a fine of 2000 - 7000€ may be imposed.

Controls
The delegated employee must carry all documents in Italian during inspections.

Obligation to keep
After completion of the assignment, all relevant documents concerning the assignment must be archived for two years.

Setting up a company
