Case study 1

Accounting of German assembly employees in Spain

An industrial company with headquarters in Germany had been building waste separation plants for over 20 years, with customers all over the world. All plants are designed, planned and projected in Germany. The project itself will require a large number of assemblers and skilled workers from different countries. Project duration : 9 months plus 3 months training of the customer's local staff.

Task/analysis

After a thorough discussion and analysis of the project in Spain, the scope and associated tasks were clear. Solutions needed:
a) Tax aspects
b) Legal and labor issues
c) Local requirements

A first cost estimate was made. The project and cooperation was managed in a transparent structure. The goal of this structure was to keep our client informed about the current status during the entire time. Costs, intermediate reports, progress, extraordinary problems, etc. In order to achieve the goals, all decisions made by the customer were reviewed locally, adapted and implemented by adminex. This was done in close cooperation with the accounting, payroll and human resources departments as well as the management.

Challenges

  • taxation, accounting, payroll
  • employee secondment, visas, employee support
  • Labor law, permits
  • Fiscal representation, communication with authorities
  • Language, mentality

Procedure

adminex Spain adapted the project to the tax and legal requirements of the project. This included setting up tax representation, hiring employees, obtaining work permits, licensing procedures, posting issues, setting up payroll, setting up accounting, employee support, insurance, necessary legal registrations and account opening. It was important to the client to channel the local activities in Spain through one contact person, so that no "uncoordinated communication" would arise between too many participants.

Solution

  • Implementation of the work packages locally on site
  • Contact person on site for all parties
  • Short ways, faster implementation
  • adminex solution "Everything from a single source

Results

The customer was able to become economically operational in a short period of time. Employees from Germany and other EU countries could be accounted for via secondment in Spain. Employees were supervised and accounted for tax purposes in Spain. On-site problems were recorded locally and solved after consultation. Monthly reports were sent to the project management in Germany.

Advantage for the customer

  • Travel cost reduction, time saving
  • Faster market access, immediate knowledge transfer
  • Tailor-made solution, one contact person
  • Over 20 years of experience

Posting of employees to Spain

Many steps have to be considered when you send employees to Spain. Whether you need a posting notice in Spanish or other company registration requirements, adminex will be happy to provide you with information in the respective country.

Market analysis, sales development of a branded spirit in Germany

An internationally known spirits brand from Russia has been successfully expanding into international markets for years. In addition to a very strong individual brand, the product portfolio also includes other brands that are to find sales abroad. The special feature is that the Russian company had already failed in the past with a major market launch in Germany.

Task/analysis

After detailed discussion and analysis of the project in Russia, the scope and associated tasks were clear. The following initial steps were agreed:

a) Measure current brand perception
b) Check price positioning
c) Develop sales concept

In this first three-month phase, it quickly became clear that the single brand was currently perceived positively. However, the RRP and also the existing sales concept in the German market were incorrectly set and thus there was no value-added calculation to further develop the brand.

Challenge for the customer

  • taxation, accounting, payroll
  • employee secondment, visas, employee support
  • Labor law, permits
  • Fiscal representation, communication with authorities

Procedure

Expert sales staff of adminex Germany developed a new approach for the Russian single brand after the initial analysis. It was decided to adjust the price positioning upwards due to the quality of the product. It was also agreed to offer the brand only in selected gastronomy and to remove it from activity plans of German discounters. Furthermore, a German brand communication and advertising material was adapted and an annual advertising and activity plan was created.
These modified and targeted measures led to a large number of listing discussions in the HoReCa and retail sectors. Listing fees decreased due to brand activity.

Solution

  • New positioning and monitoring UVP
  • New sales concept
  • Brand communication and advertising plans
  • Listing discussions by experienced German key account managers

Results

The Russian single brand became stronger in sales volume due to the repositioning. More important, however, is the fact that the brand now addresses its target group more specifically and is available exclusively from the right restaurateurs and retailers. The brand is doing well and has given itself the opportunity to invest in further brand communication and sales measures.

Advantage

  • Price stability
  • Market understanding
  • Savings on listing fees
  • Fast market access
  • Existing personal contacts
